PWCS Transcript Policy--

Transcript Requests (for College Apps):

  • Click the ‘Colleges’ tab at the top of the page
  •  Select ‘Colleges I’m applying to’, click the ‘+’ sign to the right
  • Answer all questions. Be sure to select the correct application type (i.e. Regular or Early Decision, Rolling, Priority, etc.), which will determine the college/university deadline for all documents to be received. THIS IS THE DATE THAT WE USE IN THE OFFICE FOR SUBMITTING COLLEGE DOCUMENTS.
  • Click ‘Add and Request Transcript’, answer questions, click ‘Request and Finish’
  • If applying via the Common Application, see Common App tip sheet located at the bottom of Home page for instructions on matching accounts. (REQUIRED STEP)
  • Requests for the NCAA Eligibility Center are handled as if it were for a college application. (Just type NCAA)
  • Bring payment to Mrs. Baltimore in Counseling. The first three transcripts are free, all after that are $5 each. You do not need to request mid-year or final transcripts. Transcript requests for scholarships, nominations and the NCAA are also free of charge.
  •  ALLOW 10 BUSINESS DAYS, PRIOR TO YOUR DEADLINE(S), FOR THE PROCESSING OF TRANSCRIPT REQUESTS

Obtaining a hard copy of a Transcript--Contact Ms Baltimore in the  Counseling office for copies:

  • First three college applications and accompanying transcripts requested for the school year = No Charge
  • All college applications beyond the first three with all accompanying transcripts = $5 per college application
  • Scholarship and NCAA Clearinghouse transcripts = No Charge

*Cash or check is accepted 

**Any student who has been granted a fee waiver for the SAT, ACT, or a specific college application may request a transcript fee wavier at the school level.

FREE NASA OPPORTUNITIES FOR VIRGINIA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS!

Virginia Space Grant Consortium (VSGC) provides FREE STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) opportunities for Virginia high school students in grades 10 through 12.

10TH GRADE
Virginia Space Coast Scholars (VSCS)
 – Online course  focusing on missions flown or managed by NASA Wallops Flight Facility on Virginia’s Eastern Shore, with a week-long summer academy program at NASA Wallops Flight Facility. http://vsgc.odu.edu/spacecoast/

11TH AND 12TH GRADE
Virginia Aerospace Science and Technology Scholars (VASTS) – Online course for  focusing on NASA’s human spaceflight missions and the Journey to the Moon and on to Mars with a week-long summer academy at NASA Langley Research Center. Students can earn up to four free dual enrollment college credits.  http://vsgc.odu.edu/VASTS/

11TH AND 12TH GRADE
Virginia Earth System Science Scholars (VESSS)
 – interactive online earth system science course  features NASA scientific research and data. Students can earn up to five dual enrollment college credits and can also be selected to attend a summer academy at NASA Langley Research Center.  http://vsgc.odu.edu/VESSS
