Welcome to Patriot's Business Department!  We are happy that you have decided to join us.

Did you know that 55 percent of all college students major in business?  It is the most popular major on college campuses around the world, not just in the United States, and it is easy to see why.  No matter what you choose as a future career, you will have to know something about business to be truly successful.  Even professional athletes know how to negotiate their contract, how to calculate their take home pay, and how much they need to save and invest wisely every year of their sometimes short-lived playing careers to retire comfortably.  They never know when an injury is going to end their career prematurely, so good financial planning skills come in handy.  You want to be a doctor, you say?  Well at the end of the day, when all of your patients have gone home, you will need the accounting, budgeting, and finance skills to do all of your medical billing.  Few patients pay their bills in full and physicians need strong business math skills to navigate co-payments, deductibles, and allowable insurance charges.  Just about everything revolves around business in this world, so we are glad you have been proactive about your future and decided to take a business course.

Business is where it's at and at Patriot, we mean business!

Mission Statement for the Business Department:

"In the business department at Patriot High, we will inspire every student to become visionary leaders and productive contributors to our school, our community, and our nation."
