On Wednesday, October 14, all 9th grade students will take the PSAT 8/9, and all 10th and 11th grade students will take the PSAT/NMSQT. This assessment is a great way to find out how prepared students are for college and is the qualifying test for entry to the National Merit Scholarship Program for all juniors. It also helps students become familiar with the SAT Suite of Assessments and provides valuable information about college and career readiness.
Important PSAT Day Information:
  • Date: Wednesday, October 14
  • Device: Students must bring their fully charged PWCS iPad and charger
  • Testing Time: Testing will begin at 7:30 a.m. and conclude at approximately 10:45 a.m.
  • Modified Schedule: After testing, students will attend 5th and 7th block classes. 1st and 3rd blocks will not meet.
  • Early Dismissals: No early dismissals will be permitted from 7:30 – 10:45 a.m. to maintain the testing environment.
  • Scores: Score reports will be available in early December and will provide information about student strengths, areas for growth, and potential AP course recommendations.
