Model United Nations

"More than ever before in human history, we share a common destiny. We can master it only if we face it together. And that, my friends, is why we have the United Nations."
-Former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan

Model United Nations is where current events meets theater. For each conference, participants will role-play as diplomats representing an assigned country in a simulation of sessions of the UN General Assembly, specialized UN committees such as the International Court of Justice and the World Health Organization, or other governing bodies such as NATO, the European Union, the African Union, and the Arab League. Model UN can help fine-tune your writing, research, and public speaking skills, as well as sharpen your ability to think (and negotiate) on your feet should a crisis arise.

Our next meeting will be Friday, March 29. Please make sure you come and see me before the 29th so you can get a pass for club pictures.

I have uploaded many resources in the files section. Please refer to those materials, some of which we have yet to discuss at a meeting. I am also including two links to Model United Nations related YouTube videos explaining how MUN works. If you have any questions feel free to email me.
