The National Beta Club is an academic-leadership-service organization for students in grades 10-12. The purpose of the club is to promote good character, develop leadership skills, encourage service involvement, and recognize academic achievement.
Those students whose applications are approved will be notified and inducted into Beta Club during a ceremony held after school. Each member then performs required club sponsored service hours to maintain membership. Academic requirements must also be maintained. There is a one time membership fee of $20. Financial assistance is available for those who need it.
Students are invited to complete an application based upon their cumulative GPA. Currently, students in the Class of 2017 will be required to maintain a high school GPA of 3.5. Members of the Class of 2018 and beyond must earn and maintain a high school GPA of 3.6. Invitations to apply are extended to Sophomores in the Fall semester of each year. Membership is determined after review of the applications and teacher recommendations. Juniors and Seniors who transfer to Patriot High School and have been members at another school may join the Patriot Beta Club by contacting the sponsors.
Meetings are held monthly, on the fourth Tuesday of each month, in the school's auditorium.
