Summer Graduation Cap & Gown Orders:

  • Plant will be closed June 28th through August 2nd
  • Ordering deadline is May 31st- Cap and Gown orders will not be accepted after this date (firm deadline)
  • Full refunds will be given to anyone who orders prior to May 31st but doesn’t participate in the summer graduation ceremony

Graduation Rehearsals

May 20, 2024

12:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. at Jiffy Lube Live

Seniors will complete their school day by 10:34 a.m. at Patriot. Students need to go home and drive themselves to rehearsal later that day.

Students should park in the VIP parking lot at Jiffy Lube Live.

If a student needs transportation to and from Jiffy Lube Live on May 20, please complete the interest form by May 13. We will consider bus transportation if there is enough interest.

9:45 - 2:00 p.m. - Graduation Rehearsal at Patriot HS Auditorium, Cap & Gown Class Picture, T. Clay Wood Elementary School Walkthrough, Senior Picnic

Bring your cap and gown for the Class of 2024 group photo which will be taken immediately after graduation practice.

Make sure to pay any obligations (cafeteria balance, library book fees, student devices, instruments, or uniforms, etc.) by May 23.

Graduation Walks

Graduation walks are opportunities for graduating seniors to return to their respective elementary and middle school to walk the halls in their cap and gown, reminisce and thank the teachers that began them on their educational journey.
Grab your cap and gown and student ID and join your fellow amunnae at the school where it all began for you!

Graduation Walk Guidelines (Except for T. Clay Wood):

Transportation will not be provided to the elementary schools for graduation walks.  Graduation walks take place after school hours, are optional to students, and are not a Patriot High School sponsored event.  While attending a graduation walk at an elementary school, please be prepared to show your ID upon entering the school and bring your cap and gown.

Pre-Ceremony Requirements

  • Graduating seniors arrive by 5:45 p.m. for Graduation and report to the loading dock. Graduates will be directed to a designated parking area (must have a Patriot cap). After 6 p.m., no student will be admitted for seating. 
  • Graduates are required to wear their cap and gown ordered through Jostens. Caps & Gowns may not be decorated.
  • Students are required to have completed all academic requirements for graduation prior to participation in the ceremony.

Ceremony Conduct and Expectations

  • Patriot High School plans to conduct a dignified ceremony to celebrate this great accomplishment and milestone.
  • A student demonstrating intent to disrupt the ceremony will be removed immediately by staff from the ceremony.
  • The PWCS Code of Behavior will be followed.
  • All cell phones and electronic devices must be turned off or placed on silence for the duration of the ceremony.
  • The Patriot High School faculty and staff reserve the right to search all spectators and confiscate all noisemakers to include, but not limited to, air horns.
  • Guests and members of the Class of 2024 will refrain from any action that distracts from the formality of the ceremony so that each student receives the proper individual attention.
  • Consideration for all others is expected throughout the ceremony.
  • Celebration should not involve throwing caps until the appropriate moment is at hand and recognition, respect, and attention have been afforded to all.
  • The ceremony will be concise, meaningful, and dignified.
  • Guests and spectators are asked to give respect to all graduates and allow families to hear the name of their graduate called.
  • Refrain from yelling, ringing bells, or using noise makers; moving about during the ceremony.
  • Please be attentive and considerate during the ceremony and remain seated until the ceremony has concluded. 
  • At the end of the ceremony, graduates will exit to their vehicles and meet their guests off premises.

Dress Code and Tassel

  • Appropriate shoes (the stairs are steep and narrow)
  • NO crocs/flip flops
  • If wearing a tie, please be sure it is a dark color (blue or red would be nice)
  • Light colored shirt
  • Dress pants; NO JEANS
  • If wearing a dress, it should not be longer than your gown
  • To maintain the dignified appearance of the ceremony, Patriot High School does not allow decorations of the student’s graduation cap.
  • Suggest a crossbody small bag or clothing with pockets to store cell phones and keys, etc.
  • Students who do not meet requirements for appropriate dress will not participate in the ceremony. If you have trouble acquiring appropriate dress, please see your administrator or counselor well in advance of the ceremony.
  • Tassel is placed on the right of the cap and turned to the left when Dr. Bishop announces confirmation of graduates at the end of the ceremony.

Families, Guests, and Spectators

  • Guest parking is available at 5 p.m. JLL will open the doors at 6 p.m. Seating is on a first come first serve basis. Please feel free to invite as many family memebers and friends as you wish, as the venue will hold a very large number of attendees. Tickets are not required!
  • Handicap parking and seating is available on site.
  • JLL security will screen all guests and search bags at the gates. No weapons (including pocketknives and pepper spray) are allowed on property.

  • At the end of the ceremony, graduates will exit to their vehicles and meet their guests off premises.

Please note, Jiffy Lube does have the right to move any high school graduation due to incoming artist performance requests. Jiffy Lube currently does not foresee a conflict with our date; however, we want our Pioneer families to know this possibility does exist and we will immediately communicate any changes if they occur.
